Pure Red Tomatoes *10 POINTS* How Could A Farmer Tell If His Tomatoes Are Pure Or Hybrid?

*10 POINTS* How could a farmer tell if his tomatoes are pure or hybrid? - pure red tomatoes

Dominated in tomatoes, red fruit, R, the color of the yellow fruit, R., a farmer, the tomato is red or yellow tomatoes. She signed a contract with a major seed company to a pure red, RR, and offer pure yellow grains, RR. They do not want hybrids. As a farmer to know when are your tomatoes red hybrid or pure?

There must be a "test" and across the problem with tomato plants to yellow fruit.

If you are clean, everything is red offpsring: RR x RR = RR all

If they hybrids (heterozygous) half the offspring) are yellow fruit: RR x RR = 1:1 (red and yellow

He could not be achieved by a resistance test. When crossing a population with a crossover design, which allows you to determine whether the father was unknown homozygous or heterozygous genotype allows. The cross is always test homozygous recesssive.

For example,

AABB AABB X -> 100% AaBb F1 generation (the generation of phenotype is dominant in the two figures).

AaBb AABB X - 3:1 phenotypic F1 generation is to be (a homozygous recessive genotype in the offspring that stand out from the rest of phenotypes - a clear marker that the parents were heterozygous in question, in fact).

Hope this helps.

Make a test of the Red Cross with a yellow double-recessive. If red is homozygous, all offspring are red (RR x RR -> RR is all).

If red is the offspring will be hybrids, 50:50 red: yellow (RR x RR -> RR and RR).
